Lesson Objective
In this module children learned the importance of preparing for a farm visit and what the various
safety signs mean. We discussed what slurry is and why farmers must be careful when using it,
as well as water safety, electricity safety, farmer health and, for the older groups, how farmers can stay safe when working at heights.

Farm Safety Sign Pictures

As part of our Seesaw homework, the children who had access to a farm and could go with a parent, were asked to send in pictures of Farm Safety Signs.

Class discussion on slurry

As a class group, we completed the worksheets and discussed slurry, what it is and why we must be careful near it. We also looked at Electricity Safety around farms!
