A school uniform helps a child to feel that he/she belongs to a school. It also helps prevent undesirable competition in clothes, especially among older children. The uniform consists of generic pieces available in many chain stores (eg. Dunnes, Marks & Spencers), at a reasonable cost. We expect children to wear full school uniform each day – usually Monday to Wednesday. However, on Thursday and Fridays we have sports. There may be days outside of this where the children are asked to wear their sports tracksuits, this will be communicated to the parents via the Homework Diary/Seesaw.

- Please ensure your child’s hair is tied back, out of their eyes.
- Minimal jewellery such as a watch or stud earrings is permitted.
- Nail Varnish is not permitted.
- Please label all items belonging to your child especially items of uniform.
P.E. Uniform
On Thursdays and Fridays, the children wear their school P.E tracksuit to school.
The school P.E. uniform is a plain navy sweatshirt/jacket (no logos) and plain full length navy pants and a white polo shirt with collar. The school has allowed the navy Firies tops to date. A new Firies kit is now available and there is lots of choice. We ask parents who may be choosing to pick a Firies top for the school P.E. uniform, instead of a plain navy top from e.g. Dunnes, to pick a Firies top that is predominantly navy. The school will accept the Half Zip Montana or Sweater Montana and the Firies Navy GAA Shorts. There is no need to buy a Firies top for school but if you do not intend wearing the plain navy top, then the Montana is the option for school. Any older Firies tops, already in use by the children, is also acceptable.
Plain navy tracksuits can be purchased in many Irish shops e.g. Dunnes Stores and Marks & Spencers.
